Due to the recent outbreak of COVID-19, King Township has closed facilities and canceled all programs until April 15, 2020. This decision was made after careful analysis and consideration for possible implications.
The resident's safety is my top priority when it comes to decision-making.
During this uncertain time, residents can still contact the Township, Bylaw or myself with any inquiries, questions or concerns via phone or email. Please be mindful that non-essential services and inquiry response times will be affected during this time. All essential services are unaffected and will continue to operate.
York Region Health is responsible for providing municipalities with updated information. Council will continue to monitor this situation closely and modify our response as required. Any updates and changes made within King Township will be communicated via my newsletter and website. Please review York Region's Website for information regarding COVID19.
We urge residents to avoid non-essential travel, practice social distancing and continue to wash hands thoroughly.
